Holaris

Help & privacy

›Are echoes really anonymous?

Other members never see who posted an echo — each echo gets its own random alias, so your echoes can't be linked together. Holaris itself does store who wrote each echo, so we can act on abuse reports and meet legal obligations. We never promise absolute anonymity.

›Why can't I message anyone I want?

Every conversation starts with a Cosmic Letter. The other person reads it and chooses whether to accept — only then can you talk. There's a daily letter limit to keep things spam-free, and opening a letter never sends a read receipt.

›Who can see my gender and birthday?

Nobody. Your date of birth is used only to check eligibility (16+) and keep under-18s in their own space. Your gender is optional and only used so discovery respects everyone's preferences. Neither is ever shown to other members.

›What happens when I block someone?

They can't see your profile, echoes or answers, can't invite you, and your conversation is closed. They aren't notified. You can unblock from Settings → Blocked people.

›What happens when I report something?

A moderator reviews it. You can follow the status in Settings → Safety. If several people report the same content it's hidden while we review it.

›How do I delete my account?

Settings → Delete account. You're signed out immediately and your profile, echoes, answers and messages are removed in the background. Reports about rule violations and moderation records are kept for safety. Full details, including what to do if you can't sign in: /delete-account.

›Can I download my data?

Yes — Settings → Your data lets you download a JSON copy of your profile, posts, messages you sent, and settings.

What we store

  • Your email and sign-in method, date of birth (only to determine eligibility and your age group — never shown), and profile.
  • Content you post and messages you send, so the service works. Echoes fade after 30 days and are deleted 60 days later.
  • Safety records: reports, blocks and moderation actions.
  • Push tokens for your devices, if you enable notifications. Message previews in push notifications are off by default.

The full details are in the Privacy Policy and Data retention policy.
