We want everyone to be able to use Holaris. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on the website and in the apps.
What we've done
- Buttons, links and form fields have accessible names, and form errors are announced with the field they belong to.
- Controls can be reached with a keyboard and show a visible focus outline.
- Text and controls are designed to meet AA colour contrast in both light and dark themes, and colour is never the only way information is shown.
- The universe has a list view as an alternative to the animated sky.
- Animations respect your device's reduced-motion setting, and you can also turn on Reduce motion in Settings.
Known limitations
- We haven't had an independent accessibility audit yet. [Audit date and results — to be added.]
- Photos that members share don't have descriptions, because members can't add them yet.
- The animated sky view is visual by nature. Use the list view for the same people with a screen reader.
